Annual St. Louis River Quest


Monday, May 13 – Thursday, May 16, 2013
Duluth, MN
Boatloads of area sixth-grade students, carrying “passports” to document their adventures, will travel through stations in Pioneer Hall at the DECC and on the Vista Star. The annual event, May 13-16, is the 2013 St. Louis River Quest. The program is celebrating its 21st year of offering learning opportunities that raise awareness of the St. Louis River ecosystem and interrelated commercial, industrial and recreational activities.
 
Volunteers are needed to help the Army Corps of Engineers and Lake Superior Maritime Visitors Center staff their station educating students about hypothermia. Volunteers will need to be available for three hours.

LAKE SUPERIOR DAYS

Thursday, July 18 - Sunday, July 21, 2013
11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Come down to the Lake Superior Maritime Visitor Center and celebrate the great lake-Lake Superior. Various organizations and agencies will be on site with activities, displays and information to share. This is one of many events celebrating Lake Superior Day around the lake. This event is free.

TALL SHIPS FESTIVAL

Onboard tours, day sails, and expanded hours for dockside tours. Along with vendors, artsians, music, reenactments, educational programs and entertainment. Ships will dock along the waterfront, Bayfront Festival Park and Harbor Drive.
