As a survivor of numerous modern day shipboard pirate attacks, Captain Robson has conducted extensive research on the topics of Piracy and Maritime Terrorism and is an expert on the subject. She is an industry advisor and worked as an expert witness on numerous admiralty cases, most notable the case of the EXXON VALDEZ, where she recreated the navigation that led to the grounding. Captain Robson is an Associate Professor of Nautical Sciences in the Department of Marine Transportation at the United States Merchant Marine Academy in King Point, New York
