RE:  LSMMA’s Premier Fundraising Benefit - Gales of November

Dear Maritime Enthusiast: 

You are invited to join us as we gather to celebrate and explore our maritime heritage at the Gales of November benefit.  The 25^th anniversary event will be in Duluth, Minnesota at various locations in historic Canal Park on Friday, November 2 and Saturday, November 3. 

What began 25 years ago as a small gathering of divers sharing shipwreck pictures has grown into a festive two-day celebration of Great Lakes maritime history, shipping and diving.  Featured are fascinating exhibits, illustrated presentations on history and underwater archaeology and even a silent auction of maritime and maritime related items.

Gales of November also includes the highly anticipated drawing of the “Cruise of a Lifetime” raffle.  Two winners and their guests will set sail aboard a 1,000-foot ore carrier in the summer of 2013.  Proceeds from the raffle are made possible by the continued generosity of Great Lakes Fleet/Key Lakes, Inc.

Gales of November is the premier fundraising benefit for the Lake Superior Marine Museum Association (LSMMA).  Funds raised by Gales will help maintain and protect the maritime history in the Army Corps of Engineers’ Lake Superior Maritime Visitors Center.  Gales of November registration and ticket details will be posted soon.  If you have questions, contact LSMMA directly at 218-727-2497.
